I am. You can't hurt my feelings in any way. But don't even think of taking the lords' name in vain. I wanted to see how many of you guys are christian, and wanted to hear your testimony. Here's mine:

I was ten years old, and had been at the church for 5 to 8 years. One day in Sunday School the pastor came around and asked if anyone wanted to become a christian. I raised my hand and he took me to his office to pray with me. He told me after we were done that couldn't go around not saying anything about my salvation or I really wasn't a christian. Afterwards I went down to the fellowship hall and went around telling everyone I was a christian. About 2 or 3 weeks later I was baptized.

I was born Lutheran but converted to Christianity. I was baptized before I was one.

I am not a strong believer, I do not go to church every week. But I still pray to the Lord when someone I know is sick, or when I am blessing a meal that I am eating.

At least you know the single most powerful tool a christian needs to know.

Just to let you know, not everyone is open to discussing faith on the internet, there are plenty of debate threads about the existence of a greater being but some forums may not appreciate it. I'm sure that no one on this forum would be insensitive enough to insult you if they did not believe what you do but be careful where you post things like this, I have seen these sort of threads explode into a flame war before.

Wow, I got through that whole post without stating whether I'm religious or not.

I am atheiest

I'm a Christian. I go to church almost every week. But that's not what's important. The important thing is believing in Christ as Savior. Confessing your sins, and Beliving Jesus was raised from the dead!

Thank you for your understanding, BUT, but you really shouldn't say something like "But really will pray you would come to the lord.", that could be seen as an attempt at conversion and, as you have demonstrated, some people's beliefs are so deep seated that that could be offensive.

EDIT: Also, I don't think you used 'condone' right there. It sounds odd.

EDIT2: While this sort of goes against what I said, I want to know two things:
1. What attracted you to Christianity?
2. What's your opinion of the Jewish faith?

For one I don't know much about the Jewish faith. The christian church I was raised in. I love the lord and to your first paragraph about deep seated belief, the same goes for me. That may be an attempt at conversion, but no one can tell me I have to shut this down just because it hurts their feelings. I'm not the U.S. Gov. I don't care if you think you're allowed to talk about your religion and I'm not. That would be a hypocrite, and by my religion HYPOCRITES GO TO HELL. But you're free to believe whatever you want.

You completely misread my statement, so to answer those unfounded comments:
1. I asked because the old (Jewish) testament is waaay more interesting than the new (Christian) testament.
2. I already said you are deep seated in your belief.
3. Michael Atkinson, South Australian MP, has banned the R rating because it hurts his feelings, just saying.
4. US Gov.? What does that have to do with anything?
5. I haven't even mentioned if I'm religious or not yet, or even what religion.
6. Go to hell? I could just go to a confessional, or repent my sins, or some silt (noun. a type of river dirt) such as that.

Ladies please, please I think you're completely missing the sole purpose of religion...MONEY. A couple of thousand years ago a brilliant doctor realised 'Holy Crap people are dumb! If I play Messiah for a few years these idiots are gonna follow my genius arse to the grave. Hell if i pay off a few Roman officers they'll all think I've been resurrected and they'll keep givin' me and my buddies plenty of cash. I'll make 'em pay cash once a week... I know! I'll even make the fools pay thousands just for a decent funeral. I'll even get people to send armies that rape pillage and murder people who think differently to me. I might even send them some sort of 'loving peaceful' message just so I'm not to blame. Goddammit I'm brilliant!'

Frankly, I'm surprised you Christians can afford enough internet to post your incredibly misguided failures for life...

Ok. That song is good. I never did mean to even come close to start a fight. And really the only people I really wanted to talk to here was christians. No offense to anyone else.
